The El Trasno bagpipe band was born in 1999 under the direction of Javier Tejedor with the main objective of working for the maintenance and dissemination of Asturian culture, more specifically of traditional music.
In December 2013, their first album, Axeitín , was released, and they consolidated their trajectory with awards such as the 2014 AMAS Award for Best Folk Song and the 2014 Prize for Best Song in Asturian and Galician-Asturian with Volviche , participation in the 2014 International Liet Festival and the 2015 Intercéltico de Lorient Festival, in which they won the Trophée Guinness de Bateries award for best percussion. But El Trasno’s trajectory also includes collaborations with folk groups like “Tejedor”, rock groups like “Revólver” and “Los Maurizios” and with the Basque musician Iñaki Plaza; and continues to win awards, such as the 2022 AMAS Award in the gaita category.
On this occasion, the El Trasno band offers a performance of the type “concert” in which, in addition to the members of the bagpipe band, other musicians from different sections such as voice, string or percussion will also be counted, offering a renewed version of their habitual proposal.
