Los Gascones is a compact and engaging group of four musicians, with extensive experience in traditional Asturian music. Their formation of accordion, bass drum, bagpipes, and drum follows the tradition of the “Asturian bands” that were abundant at the beginning of the 20th century, to which they add vocals to give prominence to sung themes, popular songs, or Asturian tonada. To make their proposal more appealing and bring traditional music closer to a very diverse audience, they include traditional Asturian themes in their repertoire, as well as adaptations of well-known pop, rock, and all popular music from yesterday and today. The result is a lively street music proposal that gets the audience moving at all times, both young and old.
