Asturias hosts a new edition of the Princess of Asturias Awards Week, a broad program of cultural activities organized on the occasion of the forty-sixth edition of these international awards.
From October 14 to 24, various Asturian towns and cities will be the setting for 65 activities that will bring the career, work, and contributions of the 2026 laureates closer to the public. Concerts, film screenings, exhibitions, art installations, workshops, lectures, and meetings with the laureates are part of a program that spans disciplines such as music, film, literature, science, sports, and space exploration.
Among its protagonists are Patti Smith, Studio Ghibli, Julian Barnes, Christina Koch, Timothy Garton Ash, Leo Messi, scientists David Klenerman, Shankar Balasubramanian, and Pascal Mayer, and the Svalbard Global Seed Vault.
