About the event

About the exhibition

The Photography Hall of the Niemeyer Center hosts the exhibition “Ramón Masats. Visit Spain”, which captures the journey the photographer took between 1955 and 1965, traveling across the geography of Spain with his camera. The exhibition is curated by Chema Conesa and produced by the Subdirectorate General of Visual Arts and Contemporary Creation.

Ramón Masats, winner of the National Photography Award in 2004, documents the reality of a country trapped in material poverty and tied to its religious and folk customs during the end of the autarky.
