About the exhibition
The Sala de Fotografía at the Centro Niemeyer hosts the exhibition “Ramón Masats. Visit Spain,” which captures the journey the photographer took between 1955 and 1965, traveling across the geography of Spain with his camera. Curated by Chema Conesa, the exhibition is produced by the Subdirección General de Artes Visuales y Creación Contemporánea.
Ramón Masats, winner of the National Photography Award in 2004, documents and portrays the reality of a country trapped in material poverty, socially suppressed, and staunch in its spiritual ties during the opening era of the Ministerio de Información y Turismo.
