About the “Moda con Historia” Project
The fashion has burst with force in the cultural landscape, occupying territories from which it had been absent and becoming one of the centers of intellectual reflection of our time.
Moda con Historia is an interdepartmental project of the Municipal Foundation of Culture, Education and Popular University of the City Council of Gijón/Xixón. Its objective is to put a value on the Asturian textile heritage as a fundamental part of its identity. Through the designs, the garments, the accessories, their creators and creators, and the trades, a history is being woven where fashion is not just a trend that is adopted in a specific period, but a living testimony of a community that has grown up
