Mieres Centru Cultural hosts from November 4 to December 30, 2026 “The Power of the Bubi Woman”, an artistic and cultural exhibition that pays tribute to the central figure of women in the Bubi people, an indigenous community native to the island of Bioko, in Equatorial Guinea.
The works are by the Equatoguinean artist Bësákkò Biá Rihólè, who explores the identity, traditions, and legacy of this community. An important part of the work uses African fabrics and textiles as a medium, holding both material and symbolic value.
