Hugo Martínez-Tormo’s El Bosque brings the aesthetic imaginary of the natural ecosystem to the exhibition space through three installations. The works establish a relationship of shared responsibility and symbolic co-creation, as in Pixelated Forest, a large image fragmented into pixels, where each pixel-picture acquired by the public translates into the planting of a real tree. The work is not limited to representation, but generates an ecological action in the physical world.
