Amador Centennial (1926-2001). Exhibition in Gijón
Under the title Amador Centennial (1926-2001), a commemorative exhibition is presented to celebrate the anniversary of the birth of sculptor Amador Rodríguez, curated by Francisco Zapico, and brings together a selection of small and medium-sized pieces from private collections. These have been mostly located through recent research by the author’s children, Amador and Cecilia Rodríguez Calvo, and are joined by the four sculptures owned by the Evaristo Valle Museum Foundation. This commemoration is carried out in collaboration with the Jovellanos Birthplace Museum, where another exhibition, Universe Amador, will be held, which will put the funds of its collection into dialogue with works owned by the author’s heirs.
