The Centro de Recepción e Interpretación del Prerrománico Asturiano, housed in the former Naranco schools in Oviedo, serves as a consultation centre on Asturian pre-Romanesque art. Through panels, maps, timelines and photographs, it traces the different stages of this art and the fifteen monuments that make it up.
Its resources include scale models of Santuyano de Oviedo, San Salvador de Valdediós and Santa María del Naranco, an audiovisual presentation from the Museo Arqueológico de Asturias and an interactive display in Spanish and English. It offers information in English, French and Braille, a consultation area with monographic books and a space where children can draw Asturian monuments.
