Teatro Prendes is a theatre located in Candás, in the municipality of Carreño, and its website presents it as a venue active since 1956. In 1995 its director-manager undertook an almost total remodelling, covering both the internal structure of the theatre and its cultural offer, with initiatives such as original-language cinema and theatre campaigns for schoolchildren.

It is the home of the Salón de Teatru Costumista Asturianu de Candás, a meeting held every year in the second half of August in which companies stage works by Asturian authors. In 2005 the theatre received the Honorary Prize of the Premios Asturias de las Artes Escénicas, shared with FETEN, for its commitment to theatre and its support of Asturian costumbrista theatre.
