Between 1840 and 1940, over 300,000 young people left Asturias for the Americas in search of a better life. Building on that reality, Postales rotas offers the portrait of a historical process that has always been told by men, doing so with a woman’s voice by showing the journey of a female emigrant separated by an ocean who communicates through letters she writes, tears up, and never sends.
Winner of the Premio Jovellanos a la Producción Escénica 2024 and 4 Premios Oh! de las Artes Escénicas 2025, this dance and visual theater production also features a Special Jury Mention for Estrella García at the Cairo International Festival for Experimental Theater.
