The Villa de Xixón Bagpipe Festival celebrates its twenty-sixth edition with an intense week dedicated to traditional music and Celtic culture. The program includes a varied offering of concerts, parades, workshops, children’s activities, traditional games, and exhibitions with groups from Asturias, Scotland, Galicia, Mallorca, and other territories.

Among the main events are the international gala, the inter-Celtic parade, and the inter-Celtic party, which will bring music to various iconic spaces in the center of Gijón/Xixón. The edition features the participation of groups such as the Banda de Gaites Villa de Xixón, the Milngavie Pipe Band (Scotland), BG Nova Fronteira (Galicia), Xeremies de Sóller (Mallorca), and Bagad Arvorizion Karnag.

The festival takes place from August 3 to August 9, 2026 in different locations throughout the city, with the Plaza del Parchís being one of the nerve centers of the programming.
