The Legión 501, together with the Rebel Legion and Mando Mercs, celebrates its XVI Training Day with a major charity parade that will bring together nearly 400 characters from the Star Wars universe. This charity event seeks to raise funds for the “Manu Barrera” scholarship for childhood cancer research.
The parade
The main event will take place on Saturday, October 3, 2026 at 5:00 PM. Participants, arriving from various countries such as Spain, Portugal, France, Mexico, or Poland, will parade through the streets in cinema-quality costumes from the Luis Adaro fairgrounds to the Plaza Mayor, passing through the Paseo de El Molinón, Rufo García Renduelles, Ezcurdia, and Cabrales.
Complementary activities 🚀
In addition to the parade, you will be able to enjoy a special program over several days:
- “A Charitable Galaxy” Exhibition: From Saturday, September 26 to Sunday, October 4 at the Palacio de Revillagigedo. You will be able to see costumes, replicas, and learn about the social work of the Legión 501 (hours from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM; it will remain closed on Saturday the 3rd).
- Charity photocalls:
- Friday, October 2, 6:00 PM-8:00 PM at the Jardines del Náutico.
- Saturday, October 3, 11:00 AM-1:00 PM at the Tendayu of the Museo del Pueblo de Asturias.
- Saturday, October 3, 7:00 PM-8:00 PM at the Plaza del Marqués (approximate time after the parade).
All these activities are free. Fundraising will be carried out through volunteering with donation boxes destined for the Deporte Vs Cáncer Infantil association.
