Each route we start aims to get to know a little more about everything we find in our daily space, in the city we live, work, visit, or stroll through. And all through the small history of each building. We will review some peculiarities of the architectural styles (classic, eclectic, modern, regional, art deco, rationalism, autarky, modern movement, and developmentism) and also the social, economic, and cultural conditions that were being given in each moment of the development and growth of Gijón. Of its advances and setbacks in urban planning, of the processes that led to the growth of the city, and especially, of the whole of this that has given rise to the singular and unique geography of the urban and rural landscape of Gijón. We will explore Gijón on foot.
