This exhibition project brings together 29 reproductions of masterpieces from the collection of the Museo Nacional del Prado, installed in the openings of the historic Tabacalera building. The exhibition seeks to create a dialogue between the industrial memory of this iconic building in Gijón and centuries of history of Spanish painting.
The initiative, curated by the Asturian studio La Rectoral, invites visitors to delve deeper into the knowledge of the artists and the works through backlit reproductions. In addition to the exhibition, a program of educational activities and a series of lectures will be developed to bring the heritage of the Prado closer to the public and the city’s schools.
