Umbráfono, by Enrique del Castillo

Enrique del Castillo presents UMBRÁFONO, a sound exploration project that uses light and images projected from 35 mm film to generate sound. Through machines and optical reading systems designed by the artist himself, this proposal investigates the intersection between visual art and experimental music.

The project, initiated in 2018, has been internationally recognized with the first prize for sound art PowSOLO in 2020 and has been part of the programming of institutions such as the MACBA, Matadero Madrid, and the C3A. The presentation will take place in the nave M1 of the Fábrica de Armas de La Vega, offering a unique opportunity to experience this multidisciplinary piece in a singular industrial setting.
