About this venue
The Fábrica de Armas de La Vega, also known as the Fábrica de Armas de Oviedo, is a former factory complex on the edge of the Asturian capital covering around 122,000 m². It stands on the site of the former monastery of Santa María de la Vega, founded in 1153 by Gontrodo Pérez.
In 1960 the factory became part of the Empresa Nacional Santa Bárbara de Industrias Militares. It ceased operations in 2012, and since then the site has opened occasionally for visits and activities.
