SPECIAL Artisan Essence, European Artistic Crafts Days
In this workshop, we will create a piece of basketry following a detailed artisanal process:
- Preparation: We will begin by creating a cross base using reed as the main material and applying a basic technique.
- Weaving: Inclusion of uprights to weave the walls using various techniques (continuous weave, coral weave, etc.).
- Finishing and solidity: Inclusion of braided cords over the weave to provide firmness to the structure.
- Finishing touches: We will finish the basket by adding decorations and handles.
