About the event

Reading Promotion Workshop

  • Theme: reading promotion workshop, children’s and young adult literature

  • Aimed at: children

  • Duration: 75 - 90 minutes

In this workshop, we will delve into the universe of The Mansion of 10 Doors, a story that invites us to cross thresholds full of imagination, science, and discoveries. The book follows the story of Lara, a twelve-year-old girl with an overflowing imagination. We will learn about her adventure and talk about some of the women scientists who appear in the book —such as Margarita Salas, Hedy Lamarr, or Rosalind Franklin—, pioneers who changed the world with their creativity, curiosity, and courage.

After the reading and conversation, we will move on to the more experimental part: each participant will build their own kaleidoscope, a small laboratory of light and shapes that, like the doors in the book, will allow us to look at the world in a different way.

A workshop that combines literature, science, art, and imagination, ideal for awakening vocations and fostering curiosity.
