Sounds and Percussions | Educational Workshop

Are you looking for a special plan to enjoy with the family? This educational workshop is a wonderful opportunity for little ones to get closer to our musical roots in a creative, fun, and highly participatory way. 🎶

The activity will take place on May 17, 2026, at 11:30 at the Muséu del Pueblu d’Asturies. It is designed for boys and girls from 4 to 12 years old, with a total of 10 spots available. To participate, it is necessary to register through the official ticket website.

About the workshop

This meeting seeks to highlight the fundamental role of women in the transmission of our traditional music. Through this workshop, participants will be able to:

• Discover and play traditional percussion instruments such as the tambourine and castanets.
• Learn how household utensils were used to accompany songs and dances.
• Create their own musical instrument using recycled materials.
• Explore the traditional musical instruments room of the museum. 🏛️

It is an experience of approximately 120 minutes designed for children to experiment, express themselves, and feel part of the Asturian musical legacy. Do not miss this opportunity to learn as a family! ✨
