Ludicum Convivium | Play & Creativity Piece Workshop

Can you imagine traveling through time with your family and discovering what life was like in ancient Rome? The Museo Villa Romana de Veranes invites us to a unique experience where history and play meet to enjoy an unforgettable day. 🏛️

This activity, organized by the Fundación Municipal de Cultura, Educación y Universidad Popular de Gijón, is a perfect opportunity to explore the concept of “CONVIVIUM” through a sensory exploration and symbolic play workshop.

Practical information

The workshop is a free activity and is designed for families with children from 1 year old accompanied by adults. Please note that capacity is limited to 15 families per workshop, so I recommend securing your spot as soon as possible through this registration link. 🎟️

What does the experience consist of?

Set in the Triclinium, the workshop proposes preparing a creative Roman banquet as a family using basic ingredients of the Mediterranean diet. The proposal follows the “Loose Parts” philosophy, an analog methodology that fosters creativity, divergent thinking, and social skills in the little ones. 🎨

Each session has a duration of 60 minutes. Remember that each adult can accompany more than one child, always prioritizing the children’s spots so that everyone can enjoy this historical immersion. It will be a wonderful way to celebrate International Museum Day! ✨
