About this venue
The Villa romana de Veranes is an archaeological site open to the public in the neighbourhood of Veranes, in the parish of Cenero, in the municipality of Gijón. The remains belong to a Roman villa that was in use from the first years of our era until the 5th century. A significant part of its structure survives, along with fragments of mosaic belonging to a hall.
Next to the site there is an interpretation centre, opened in March 2007, which has an audiovisual room and a permanent exhibition.
