IV Industrial Engineering Olympiad of the Principality of Asturias

Are you passionate about the world of engineering and would you like to put your ingenuity to the test? The IV Industrial Engineering Olympiad of the Principality of Asturias is the perfect meeting point for students eager to solve real challenges in a creative and collaborative environment. 💡

The event will take place on May 23, 2026 at the Escuela Politécnica de Ingeniería de Gijón. Participation is open to students in two categories: Category A (3rd and 4th year of ESO) and Category B (Bachillerato).

The challenge 🛠️

The challenge consists of solving an engineering problem using only office supplies. Efficiency, time spent, cost of materials, and the team’s oral presentation skills will be especially valued. The top three teams in each category will receive prizes, and the winners will have the opportunity to represent the Principality of Asturias in the National Olympiad.

To participate, keep the following deadlines in mind:

• Registration deadline: May 17, 2026 at 11:59 PM.
• Publication of the challenge: Week of May 4, 2026.
• Development of the test: May 23, 2026, from 09:00 to 13:00.
• Announcement of results and awards ceremony: May 23, 2026, at approximately 13:00.

Practical information

The event will be held in the Edificio Polivalente de la EPI GIJON. This event is organized by the Escuela Politécnica de Ingeniería de Gijón, the Colegio Oficial de Ingenieros Industriales del Principado de Asturias, and the Colegio Oficial de Ingenieros Técnicos Industriales del Principado de Asturias, with the support of Gijón Impulsa.
