Chosco Festival. Tineo

Tineo celebrates the 25th edition of the Chosco Festival, an event dedicated to one of the most representative products of western Asturias gastronomy, Chosco de Tineo PGI, coinciding with the 9th edition of the Huerta Tineo Festival.

Gastronomy, garden produce, crafts, live cooking, children’s activities, and music are part of a program that allows visitors to explore the flavors and traditions of the municipality. Highlights among the proposals include a food and wine pairing session featuring Chosco de Tineo PGI and Cangas PDO Wine, tastings, a showcooking, a traditional amagüestu, and various musical performances.

Friday 30

• 19:00 h. Technical and festive session: The Chosco de Tineo, the history of a territory in a product. A gathering led by journalist Anna Riera with the participation of Elena Gómez Feito, Elio Fernández, and Miguel Sierra Blanco, ending with a Spanish wine reception.

Saturday 31

• 11:00 h. Opening of the festival and the mushroom exhibition.
• 12:00 h. Traditional amagüestu and sweet cider.
• 12:00 to 14:00 h. Children’s area: Autumn leaf magnets workshop.
• 13:00 h. Official inauguration and appointment of Caja Rural de Asturias as Honorary Ambassador for 2026.
• 14:00 h. Chosco de Tineo PGI and Cangas PDO Wine pairing session led by Marcos Cienfuegos (Price: €10, prior registration required).
• 14:30 h. Live musical performance by the band Eleven.
• 16:30 h. Tasting of broccoli cream soup with cheese and diced Chosco de Tineo.
• 17:00 h. Children’s area: Necklace making workshop.
• 17:30 h. Award ceremony for the ChoscoChef Contest.
• 18:00 h. Children’s area: Storytelling session Yo no soy caperu.
• 18:00 h. Showcooking by Christian Cocineru.
• 20:30 h. Musical performance by the band DeLorean.
• 23:00 h. End of the party with DJ Gabriel Mix.
