The Recinto Ferial de Santa Teresa, in the neighbourhood of the same name in the town of Tineo, is the site of the annual Feria de Muestras de Tineo, organised by the town council through its local development agency (Agencia de Desarrollo Local). The fair began in 1989 as an exhibition of agricultural machinery linked to the Feria Ganadera de San José and is now one of Asturias’s major multi-sector fairs, with exhibitors from agriculture, the motor trade, food, construction, furniture and crafts.
The grounds, continually extended and improved, offer around 14,900 m² of indoor and outdoor exhibition space. Over the fair’s three days the programme includes musical performances, tastings of local products such as chosco de Tineo, a bowling (bolos) tournament and children’s attractions, drawing visitors from across Asturias and neighbouring regions.
