ARCU ATLÁNTICU FESTIVAL. Concert. Tsacianiegas

The sisters Raquel and Laura Álvarez Alonso, natives of San Miguel de L.laciana, present their repertoire of traditional music from northern León and southwestern Asturias under the name Tsacianiegas. The duo performs wedding songs, jotas, garruchas, and vaqueiradas, including pieces in patsuezu, the linguistic variety native to the mountains that connects both regions. 🎶

The concert will take place at the Plaza de Tabacalera, in the Cimavilla neighborhood.

About the repertoire

The proposal by the Álvarez Alonso sisters focuses on the recovery and dissemination of the oral tradition of their land. Their performances stand out for the use of patsuezu, a language that gives a unique character to their interpretations of traditional genres such as:
