ARCU ATLÁNTICU FESTIVAL. Concert. Escontra’l Raigañu: living history

The Avilés-based group Muyeres celebrates its 43-year career with a sonic journey that traverses its musical history through pieces rescued from its field work and recording collaborations. This repertoire includes songs learned during their artistic journey, highlighting the fundamental role of the project they began in 1993 to make the tambourine and the role of women in folklore visible.

This proposal is an opportunity to learn up close about the legacy of a collective that has been key in the recovery and dissemination of oral tradition. Through their performances, the group connects their past experiences with the present, keeping alive the essence of the songs that have marked their more than four decades of activity. 🎶
