El Recinto Ferial de Pola de Somiedo will host on Sunday, November 1, 2026, the traditional November 1 Livestock Fair, thus being the first cattle fair to be held in the Principado de Asturias since the lifting of the suspension on fairs, contests, auctions, markets… throughout the territory due to Lumpy Skin Disease.
A fair where calves, heifers, and cows of the Raza Asturiana de los Valles will be bought and sold primarily, a breed that is in the majority in the concejo de Somiedo, a municipality that preserves excellent, highly prestigious livestock farms.
The fair will begin early in the morning and, in addition to the livestock, there will be time to enjoy the privileged surroundings of the Parque Natural de Somiedo and a gastronomy that never disappoints. There will also be stalls and exhibitors from merchants in other sectors, such as agricultural machinery, crafts, and so on.
