The mystery of the quintana | Educational workshop

Are you looking for a special plan to enjoy with your family and connect with our roots? I invite you to participate in “El misterio de la quintana,” an educational activity designed to discover the magic of cooperation in the Asturian tradition in a fun and very active way. 🌾

This experience will take place on May 15, 2026 at 16:00 at the Muséu del Pueblu d’Asturies. It is a free activity, but please note that spots are limited (there are 10 spots available). You can register through this link.

Activity details

The workshop is designed for children aged 3 to 5 accompanied by their families. An important detail: each child occupies one spot, but can be accompanied by up to 2 family members who do not count towards the spot limit.

Through a motor story developed in the museum’s outdoor areas, the little ones will meet Manolín, a mouse who lives in the mariñana house and gets a big surprise when all his food disappears. Based on this story, families will have to collaborate to help the protagonist, discovering together how the quintana worked and why mutual aid was fundamental in the rural life of yesteryear.
