The Garden of the Exiled | Poetry collection presentation

It is a unique opportunity to discover how a story about centuries-old trees has inspired a work that unites poetry, engraving, and artisanal publishing in an incomparable setting. 🌿

The event will take place on May 15, 2026, at 19:30 at the Fundación Museo Evaristo Valle. This activity, organized by the Fundación Municipal de Cultura, Educación y Universidad Popular de Gijón, has free admission until full capacity is reached, so I recommend arriving early.

About the book 📖

This project was born from a curious story about the journey of some centuries-old trees across the Black Sea, originally recounted by the journalist Mónica R. Goya. From there, the illustrator Ángel Domínguez-Gil captured this vision in engravings that dialogue with the poetry of Fernando Menéndez, resulting in a unique and artisanal book edited by Fermín Santos López.
