The Ensamble Moxos presents its show Sacred Music of the Bolivian Amazon, a proposal that integrates music, song, dance, and theater to recover the heritage of the ancient Jesuit missions of Bolivia. Under the direction of Raquel Maldonado, young indigenous Moxeño-Ignaciano musicians perform compositions that fuse the tradition of the missionaries with indigenous musical expressions.
This performance is part of the group’s 2026 Europe Tour, which will travel through Spain, Germany, Belgium, and France. The project stands out not only for its artistic value but also for its conservation work, linked to an archive of more than 10,000 handwritten scores and a school that offers musical training to more than 400 young people.
