Do you feel like discovering how two worlds separated by the ocean can be united by the same passion? The Museo del Ferrocarril de Asturias and the Museo Ferroviario Juan Murray in Argentina have come together to celebrate International Museum Day with a very special proposal that connects stories, memories, and communities.
This audiovisual piece is a unique opportunity to get closer to railway history and see how the past of workers and passengers remains alive in these iconic spaces. It is a perfect plan to enjoy with family or friends and get carried away by this shared narrative. 🚂
Practical information
The activity will take place on May 15, 2026 at 13:00 at the Museo del Ferrocarril de Asturias. Best of all, it is a free activity, making it an ideal occasion to come and learn about this international collaboration.
About the event 📽️
This initiative, organized by the Fundación Municipal de Cultura, Educación y Universidad Popular de Gijón, seeks to build a bridge between Xixón/Gijón and Funes. Through this audiovisual, both institutions intertwine their stories so that we can all better understand the legacy left by the tracks and stations that we visit today as museums.
