Calume Collection, translation into Asturian

If you are passionate about literature and want to discover how great universal works sound in our language, you cannot miss this appointment at the Feria del Libro de Gijón/Xixón. It is a fantastic opportunity to get closer to the Calume Collection and enjoy an intimate talk about the process of translation into Asturian. 📚

The event will take place at the Carpa Atalaya on June 21, 2026, from 11:30 to 12:15. Admission is for the general public and no cost is specified, making it an ideal occasion to enjoy culture in an open environment.

Presentation program 🖋️

During this meeting, we will learn about two fundamental works from the collection:

• Eva, by Ersi Sotiropoulos: we will have the participation of Dani Menéndez, responsible for the translation from Greek into Asturian (Trabe, 2025).
• Caleyos de la memoria, by Conceiçao Evaristo: we will have the participation of Henrique Facuriella, who carried out the translation from Portuguese into Asturian.
