Gonzalo Suárez Film Series: «Epílogo» (1984)

La Casa de Cultura de Llanes is dedicating a film series to Gonzalo Suárez (Oviedo, 1934 – Madrid, 2026), director, screenwriter, writer, and journalist, who passed away on September 29. The tribute is organized by the Ayuntamiento de Llanes, the Asociación Vecinal de Lledías, the Festival Oriéntate, and the Cine Club de Llanes; following an initial session on October 17 at the Casa Concejo de Lledías with «El genio tranquilo», in November the series moves to the auditorium of the Casa de Cultura with four of his most representative films.

The series concludes with «Epílogo» (1984), a drama written and directed by Gonzalo Suárez starring José Sacristán, Francisco Rabal, and Charo López, which marked the film debut of Sonia Martínez. It tells the story of two writers, Ditirambo and Rocabruno, who co-authored their novels and were in love with the same woman; ten years later they reunite to write their final joint work, to be titled «Epílogo».
