La Casa de Cultura de Llanes is dedicating a film series to Gonzalo Suárez (Oviedo, 1934 – Madrid, 2026), director, screenwriter, writer, and journalist, who passed away on September 29. The tribute is organized by the Ayuntamiento de Llanes, the Asociación Vecinal de Lledías, the Festival Oriéntate, and the Cine Club de Llanes; following an initial session on October 17 at the Casa Concejo de Lledías with «El genio tranquilo», in November the series moves to the auditorium of the Casa de Cultura with four of his most representative films.
On Wednesday, November 18, «Ditirambo» (1969), by Gonzalo Suárez, will be screened in a session of the Cine Club de Llanes. The character of Ditirambo reappears, played by José Sacristán, in «Epílogo» (1984), which closes this very same series on November 26.
