Daughter of Luis Russell, composer and musical director for Louis Armstrong, Catherine Russell has toured worldwide, performing and recording with David Bowie, Cyndi Lauper, Paul Simon, Steely Dan, Jackson Browne, Michael Feinstein, The Holmes Brothers, Wynton Marsalis, and Rosanne Cash, among others. She has appeared on more than 200 albums and earned two Grammy nominations for Best Jazz Vocal Album.
