About this venue
The Biblioteca Jovellanos is the public library of Puerto de Vega, in the municipality of Navia, and is listed among the public libraries of the Navia town council. It bears the name of Gaspar Melchor de Jovellanos, the Asturian Enlightenment figure who died in this village in 1811.
It is part of a cultural complex in the centre of Puerto de Vega, made up of four buildings joined into one, which also houses the Álvaro de Navia Osorio multipurpose hall, the Museo Juan Pérez Villamil and the Historias del Mar reception centre.
