About this venue
Valdedo is a village in the municipality of Villayón, in western Asturias, within the Navia river basin. It belongs to the parish of Ponticiella, which according to the 2024 nomenclátor has 229 inhabitants, so it is a small rural settlement.
Its heritage includes the armorial manor houses of Roque and Carbajales, each bearing its coat of arms and a reference to its grant of nobility, an example of the rural and vernacular architecture preserved in the municipality. Valdedo is also the finishing point of the Sierra de Villayón – Valdedo mountain-bike route, a 26-kilometre ride starting at Lendequintana.
