About this venue
Carcedo (Carcéu in Asturian) is a village and parish in the municipality of Valdés, in western Asturias. It lies about 23 kilometres from Luarca, the municipal capital, and about 85 from Oviedo. Besides the village that gives the parish its name, the parish also includes Muñás de Abajo, Villar de Carcedo, La Cadorna, Ore, Pontigón and Llaneces.
Its natural landmarks include El Penón, the Pico Carcéu and La Raba. The festivities of San Bartolomé are held on 24 and 25 August, and that of Nuestra Señora de Lourdes (La Trapa) on the third Sunday of July.
