About this venue
Brieves is a village in the parish of Trevías, in the municipality of Valdés, in the Vaqueira comarca. It sits beside the Esva river, whose main tributary, the Llorín, joins it from the right within the village itself.
It is known for its stone arches, which link the hórreos (granaries) with the houses and stand out for their ethnographic value. In September the village celebrates the festivities of Santa Tecla, listed in the municipal festival calendar, with children’s games, music, a procession and a Mass in honour of the saint.
