About this venue
Belén is a small village in the parish of La Montaña, in the inland part of the municipality of Valdés, in western Asturias. It is a hamlet of just over fifty residents, who make up roughly a seventh of the parish’s population, spread across some twenty villages.
La Montaña is an inland parish with an average altitude of about 400 metres, crossed by the Rionegro river and bordering the municipalities of Navia, Villayón and Tineo. Belén is home to the parish church, dedicated to San Salvador de Rionegro.
