Cibercentro La Lila is a public service of Oviedo City Council, attached to the Mayor’s Office, based in the building known as the Palacete de La Lila, on the street of the same name. According to the centre itself, the palacete was built between 1896 and 1903 to a design by architect Juan Miguel de La Guardia; already in municipal hands, it was thoroughly renovated in 2001, when part of its gardens was opened to public use. The cibercentro service has been running since February 2003.
There you can take free digital-skills courses, use computers and the internet in the telecentro with help if needed, and study in a 40-seat room. The assembly hall hosts talks and ICT-related activities, and the exhibition hall hosts shows and other cultural activities.
