About this venue
The Conservatorio del Occidente de Asturias is a municipal music school owned by the Ayuntamiento de Valdés, located in the Villar neighbourhood of Luarca. It offers regulated teaching, at elementary and professional levels, as well as a music school with non-regulated courses that includes a traditional area devoted to bagpipes and percussion.
The building has a 220-seat auditorium, a recording studio, 25 classrooms designed for each family of instruments, and a library with a periodicals archive. Its instrumental and vocal ensembles also take part in concerts and public events.
