The Casa de la Cultura Escueles Dorado occupies the historic building of the former Escuelas Dorado, on Calle Dorado in Sama (Langreo). The building was designed in 1920 to serve as a school and, after a far-reaching renovation and refurbishment, opened its doors in 1986 as a cultural centre that took the name of the building itself.
Its main facade combines an eclectic style with classical features and is divided by cornices that mark the separation between floors. Today the building houses the facilities of the Casa de Cultura of Sama.
