The Vivero de empresas Turismo Activo is a business incubator of the Gijón City Council in the La Camocha area, in the rural part of the municipality. It is intended for innovative business projects in the green economy, sport, active tourism and nature, and it is one of the business residences of Gijón Impulsa, the company through which the City Council promotes the city’s economic development.
The building comes from the municipal project to create an incubator for tourism activities, active sport and a technology development centre in La Camocha, with works started in 2022 and co-financed by the Instituto para la Transición Justa and by the Principality of Asturias through Sekuens. It has six offices of between 22.9 and 36.55 m², plus a kitchen-dining area and a shared meeting room.
