About this venue
The Puerto Deportivo de Gijón, popularly known as El Muelle, is the city’s marina. It sits right in the centre, on the western side of Santa Catalina hill, and belongs to the Gijón Port Authority; its offices are in the Antigua Rula building.
It grew out of the conversion of the former industrial and fishing port, refitted between 1986 and 1991: the works were declared finished on 14 February 1991. It is organised into four basins (the outer harbour, the inner basin, Fomentín and Fomento) and has a waiting pontoon and a fuel supply area.
