About this venue
Gijón Arena is the name given to the concert and show venue set up at the Plaza de Toros de El Bibio, in the eastern part of Gijón. It operates in the bullring’s new dome and hosts concerts and live music performances, including tribute bands, as well as private events.
The bullring, built under the direction of architect Ignacio de Velasco, was completed in 1888 and is owned by Gijón City Council. Besides bullfighting, the ring is also used for concerts.
