Galería Bea Villamarín is a contemporary art gallery on Calle San Antonio in Gijón, opened in 2015 by Bea Villamarín herself. It was founded with the aim of bringing art closer to everyone, not only to connoisseurs and collectors, and brings together young artists with an established track record alongside veteran masters; its website lists artists such as Liubov Nikitina, Nacho Casteleiro and Rubén Martín de Lucas.
Openings are a moment for gathering: the artist usually guides visitors through the new show, and the evening ends with an aperitif and a chat. The gallery also takes part in the city’s Noches Blancas and attends national and international art fairs.
