El Coleccionista is a beer bar with a kitchen (cervecería con cocina) in the centre of Gijón, on Calle Melquíades Álvarez. Beer is at the heart of the place: it offers a wide selection of craft beers from different countries, some with unusual flavours such as chocolate or apricot, as well as mead (hidromiel), and many of them can be bought to take home. The atmosphere is that of a cosy pub, with rock and metal playing in the background.
The kitchen focuses on traditional Spanish home cooking, alongside tapas and pinchos, with a menu that runs from salads and starters to main courses and desserts. The venue has large screens where you can follow matches and other sporting events.
